Al Eqbal has awarded Habash-Deir Contracting Company to carry out Skeleton Works of the first Ritz-Carlton Property in the Region.
The contract was signed in Amman by Mr. Tawfic S. Fakhouri, Executive Chairman, Al Eqbal Real Estate Development and Mr. Mechael Al-Deir, General Manager of Habash-Deir Contracting Company accompanied by Mr. Samer T. Fakhouri Vice Chairman and Mr. Emad Kilani Chief Executive Officer, Al Eqbal Real Estate Development.
Habash-Deir was selected as the contractor out of 13 local and international contractors invited to bid last September. Skeleton works will commence this month for a period of 28 month.
Mr. Tawfic S. Fakhouri also added that the project is being implemented in a timely manner with the completion of the excavation works by Arab Towers Contracting “ATCCO” on schedule. The Skeleton works tender is considered the first of several packages that will be issued this year and the next, with a total value of up to $250 million which is the investment value of the project. We are also proud that this investment is 100% Jordanian financed and will contribute to driving long-term sustainability and economic growth to the Jordanian economy which is expected to create more than 1,200 jobs during the construction period, and about 530 permanent jobs once the project is operational.
