With longstanding experience in the regional real estate and investment sectors, Emad Kilani brings an elevated standard of industry knowledge and expertise to Al Eqbal Real Estate Development. As Chief Executive Officer (CEO), he is responsible for setting the company’s overall strategy as well as overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of Al Eqbal’s projects, beginning with The Ritz-Carlton hotel and residences in Amman.
Kilani began his career in 1997 with a number of blue chip companies operating in Silicon Valley, California, in the United States. In 2003, he transitioned into the Jordanian development sector, joining the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) as Head of Business Development and Marketing. In 2004, he was named Vice President for Investment and Corporate Affairs at the Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC). Kilani went on to serve as the Director of the Executive Office at the Jordanian Prime Ministry, reporting directly to H.E. the Prime Minister of Jordan. In addition to high-level coordination between the Royal Hashemite Court and government institutions, his role involved the facilitation of mega investment and development projects within the country.
Prior to joining Al Eqbal, Kilani was CEO of Al Maabar Jordan for seven years, during which he managed the Marsa Zayed project in Aqaba, as well as The St. Regis Amman and The Residences at The St. Regis Amman. Throughout his extensive career, he has served as a Member of the Steering Committee for Development Zones in Jordan, and as Vice Chairman of the Aqaba National Real Estate Projects Company. He has also held positions on the boards of several other high profile companies, such as the Dead Sea Development Company, Aqaba Airports Company and the Aqaba International Schools Company.
Kilani has a bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering with a minor in Business Management from California State University. He is also a Certified Project Manager.
